Le Pélican

A bland restaurant. The menu (by the way, the one on the Google page is 5 years old; a little updating would show they care) is completely standard. Even the daily special is nothing special. What's more, the cut of meat is advertised, but what you get is pre-cut like you'd find in a nursing home, allowing you to make two plates out of a single piece of meat. The cooking itself is well-balanced, but nothing exceptional. It's advertised as a "Perlforth club," but there's no signature beer dish, for example (like a carbonnade). The name is Pelican only for show. The wines are also standard, priced on par with bottles from independent producers and mass-market supermarket wines (all from regions where cheap wine is produced but sold at a premium). The appetizers are served without any extra touches (even just a bowl of peanuts would be a nice addition). The desserts look like they've been sitting around for days and/or defrosted. The fight against food waste is undoubtedly the cause. Even though they're advertised as "homemade," they seem to be made from powder mixed with milk and probably water to lower the cost. And on top of all that, the price is comparable to a slightly more upscale restaurant. As for the service, you could tell the staff were in a hurry to finish their shift. They even tried to clear the table halfway through our meal, claiming we were chatting and it was taking a while. And then there's the ever-present question, "Is everything alright?" or "Did everything go well?" If you know me, you'll know that if "it's not going well," I'm leaving before the end of the meal. Nice, but cheap and nothing special. Not sure I'll go back. Thanks anyway for the meal.

This restaurant accepts reservations through corporate booking platforms (REJOLT) but then refuses payment through those same platforms... These are highly questionable practices... My team and I will never set foot in this establishment again!!

✨ A true gem: Le Pélican! ✨ I eat at this restaurant at least once a week, and it's always a real pleasure! The salads are generous, fresh, and delicious. The meats are tender, flavorful, and very affordable—excellent value for money! The staff is fantastic: welcoming, warm, and always smiling… You feel right at home as soon as you walk in. Le Pélican has become my favorite spot, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food in a friendly atmosphere!

Very friendly and welcoming, and a good piece of meat (hanger steak) and a nice glass of Côtes du Rhône for a reasonable price ($22). I'll definitely be back. I recommend it on my social media.

What can I say about Brasserie Le Pélican? Upon arrival, we received a very warm welcome from the owner behind the bar. We had a choice of tables. As a daily special, we ordered an Italian croque monsieur with salad and fries for €13.50. A generous portion, it was perfect.

Friendly fast food restaurant with reasonable prices

A really nice restaurant, and above all, very accommodating! Even though I'd accidentally forgotten to book for Halloween night, they accepted me. And I wasn't disappointed: great atmosphere, reasonable prices, the food was excellent (even though it wasn't what I was expecting 🤣), and the waitress made us laugh. I had a fantastic time!

That sausage wasn't fresh, I just threw it up.

We came yesterday for a drink at 5 p.m. (8 people), unfortunately all the tables were already set for the evening meal, except for a few already occupied by the staff (or relatives) who were not bothered that we were standing. We were offered the counter with a few high chairs, quickly taken by the people already there who were also surprised to be "invaded". Well, we spent half an hour standing and quite uncomfortable, and we won't be coming back...
