A disastrous evening. The beer menu is very mediocre, but the biggest problem is the food. A frozen pizza, barely warmed, with a white, rubbery crust. The service was so slow that we asked for a refund for some pizzas that still hadn't arrived after a 40-minute wait, all for €13!! A complete rip-off. There are much better bars in Clermont for drinks, food, and atmosphere. Avoid at all costs!

I just celebrated my birthday with friends at Comptoir Viking last night, and honestly, we had a fantastic, friendly time. The servers were smiling, efficient, and very polite. I also thought the bar had a great atmosphere, with music to suit all tastes, creating a very cheerful ambiance for both my group of friends and the other tables around us. We had a great evening, and I highly recommend this bar in downtown Clermont.

The food is terrible and the service is amateurish... we ordered several pizzas with friends. The first one arrived after 45 minutes, and... what a result! It was awful, tasteless, the crust wasn't cooked. Even a frozen supermarket pizza would have been better. Why sell pizzas if this is how you do it? And especially at what price: €13!! Not to mention that the second one arrived 15 minutes later... It's impossible to serve four pizzas at roughly the same time when there are several of you, especially considering the quality of the pizzas... And then there were the mistakes and the wait for the beers... Honestly, avoid this place. There are much better pubs not much further away.

The "snacks" are a no-go on event nights. There were four of us watching the French national rugby team match, and we ordered four pizzas 20 minutes before kickoff. The first one arrived 45 minutes later, the second an hour later, and we cancelled the other two (the waiter refunded us...but offered no apology or compensation). Meanwhile, other tables were being served randomly: one pizza, then a 20-minute wait, and then another. For future customers: go there for a drink (although the atmosphere and decor aren't anything special), even if other pubs in Clermont are far superior. For the owners: stop serving snacks on event nights; you don't have the resources/expertise to manage both the bar AND the kitchen (or ask Etchebest for advice). Our group unanimously decided to leave the bar at halftime and we went to a reliable Clermont-Ferrand spot: Salvation! (For the price of a mediocre pizza at Viking, we got a loaded hot dog with fries). We won't be going back.

If you're looking for a place with a good atmosphere and entertainment, this bar is perfect for you. We had a fantastic evening. They have darts available, excellent pizzas, and generous charcuterie boards. Plus, the staff is very welcoming, and that's worth all the happiness in the world.

We had a great time at the Viking! The atmosphere could be a bit more lively, but we had a fantastic time with friends! The darts are a major draw, the servers are friendly, and the place is beautiful, but something's missing in terms of overall ambiance…
